As you will be aware we have all been through some unprecedented floods this past week. The emergency services are stretched to their limits and those organisations that have been at the front assisting the emergency services are also stretched. We are now moving into the recovery stage, which involves clean up, assistance and emotional support.
BLEVEC (Bedfordshire Local Emergency Volunteers Executive Committee) have reached out to the Parish asking if anyone can offer support?
Example for support could be: help with clean up, emotional support virtual or visiting people flooded, accommodation, advice services like insurance and grants, support to disables or vulnerable. Anything you think could be useful.
We would also like to create a leaflet that we can hand out to people to help sign-post them to relevant support.
