Anglian Water engineers have informed the Parish Council that they are in the process of lining the sewerage pipe from the original collapse through to Campton Road in Shefford. This work can only be carried out a hundred metres at a time and is very weather dependent.
They hope that Greenway will be reopened before Christmas, but this depends on a number of factors such as weather and the availability of personnel.
At some point the A507 will need to have traffic lights in use while a void under the road is repaired. At present there is no time scale to complete this work.
