The long-standing outline planning application for housing on Greenway was recently discussed at the CBC Development Management Committee DMC. The Parish Council made a spoken representation at the meeting raising several points of concern regarding the application concept plan layout and proposed access, stressing that any future development should be in keeping with the village. Ward Cllr Liddiard also attended the meeting and re-enforced many of the concerns raised by the PC on behalf of residents. The application report prepared by the CBC planning officer was very thorough and conditions proposed within reflected and addressed many of the key points put forward by the Parish Council, hopefully these will be fully considered should a full application come forward in the future. The outline application was approved at the CBC DMC. In recent days, news that Hayfield Homes has finalised a land deal in regards to the future development of this site, subject to planning, has been in the public domain. The Parish Council have not received any direct communication with regards to this matter.
