The Greensand Trust is creating a new nature reserve in Central Bedfordshire at Clophill Lakes to conserve and enhance the site’s natural beauty, wildlife and heritage, while providing sensitive, sustainable public access to promote understanding and enjoyment of the special qualities of the Greensand Country area to local communities and the wider public.
As an environmental charity they are seeking public support to raise funds to enhance the reserve’s habitats, conserve and protect the Cainhoe Castle scheduled monument and to provide toilets and visitor facilities for the site which will serve the whole community while providing an oasis for wildlife.
