The Parish Council now has copies of Information Leaflets on the New Local Plan for Central Bedfordshire that have been provided by Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC). Parish Cllrs will endeavour to distribute a copy of the leaflet to every home in the parish over the next day or so. We also have paper copies of CBC’s questionnaire/survey for distribution to anyone in the parish wishing to complete this survey on paper. Of course all this information and the survey may also be reviewed and/or completed online at the New Local Plan Portal.
The Parish Council encourages all our residents to share their views on the six themes of this public engagement exercise:
- Access to outstanding new or improved green space and nature
- A range of jobs that are easy to get to
- High-quality, well-designed homes for every stage of life
- Excellent transport options, including walking and cycling
- Local facilities such as roads, schools, shops, and parks
- Respecting and enhancing the unique character of our towns and villages
